I like this, but I think I'd like it better if all of the head was in the frame. Is there a reason you chose to crop it this way?

Yeah this was a a rather off the cuff shot on the Statten Island Ferry, not so planned. I like the tight composition and punchy contrast, although perhaps a bit to dark.

It was not cropped, just monochromed.

composition doesn't work for me. the post-processing detracts from the image, rather than adds to it, imho.
