You must have flipped this, the steering wheel is on the (wrong)side. :)
I am glad driving is not every day for me,I can't stand the traffic.
To me this shot says"cruise control".

Where is life ?

kadenajack said 448 days ago:

The daily commute. That's certainly a scene from most of our lives. Judging by the position of the steering wheel, I'm going to guess this is one of our British contributors. Mooch perhaps?

kadenajack said 448 days ago:

....or emmat. Where do you live Emma?

martylavender said 447 days ago:

One of my favorite cars, and i love how you set this shot up!!

Ana said 447 days ago:

if this is about driving, I wish I could see more of where you're going.

emmat said 447 days ago:

kadenjack - yep, i am a Brit! i live in Reading in Berkshire.

dallenogare - life is sitting in this car everyday to go to work, or drive to see friends and family. i love this car, so i am happy to post it as a scene from my life :)

Ana - i do have a selection of shots from my daily commute, so maybe i will post them :)

Thanks for the comments anyway, much appreciated.

Trendy! Too bad about the lens flair. You probably could have prevented that. It is commonplace for folks to climb in their cars for the morning commute, so high relevance.

bioLarzen said 447 days ago:

To be brutally honest and frank, I was afraid this theme wouldn't work - but it works wonders! This is another simple-so-perfect shot.

I just love the texture of the inner part of the wheel and also the contrast.

25, what else???

bioLarzen said 447 days ago:

King, Old Friend, how much would you sell your eyes? I had to search this image for lens flare only to find it after like 2 minutes... What you can perceive is just hard to find words to...

bioLarzen said 447 days ago:

"how much would you sell your eyes FOR"

emmat said 447 days ago:

King - the shot is actually taken on a camera phone, so it's not about the quality for me, rather a snapshot of my everyday life :)

King said 447 days ago:

@emmat...pretty good for a camera phone, so never mind my comment, which was only in case you were interested in how to improve the contrast.

@bioLarzen...Lens flare (as I know it) is not just streaks of light from the sun, but the general degradation of contrast caused by extraneous light bouncing around inside the lens and "fogging" the film or pixels. The entire upper left of this image is "fogged" due to lens flare. It probably wouldn't have been so noticeable with a high-quality lens.

Nice one. I'm thinking of getting a Mini for Berlin, where I'm moving. I need a small car to park there, and put two kids in the back.

I like the composition.

Flatline said 447 days ago:

and I LOVE the fact that you used your phone. Awesome.

bioLarzen said 447 days ago:

Thx, King, I've learnt something.

bioLarzen said 447 days ago:

emmat,
what kind of phone can take this good quality a pic? I bought myself a SonyEricsson K800 almost exclusively for its camera, which is one of the bests any phone can boast with, but it's nowhere near this quality...

emmat said 446 days ago:

BioLarzen - it is a K750i with the settings max resolution. I tend to shoot in colour and then convert to mono in PS generally having to tweak curves to give it some contrast, but i usually get nice results from that :)

Flatline - I can only recommend the mini, it is great fun, and dead easy to maneuver around town! Get one!!

Cool, you're from a place where they drive on the other side of the road. Way, way cool. Great shot btw.

Hummingbird said 444 days ago:

Is the the car you drive?

Hummingbird said 444 days ago:

Now I know. Highly relevant.
