An interesting photo with a pleasing contrast of textures, colors and shapes. You'd gain a little dimensionality, IMHO, if the right-angle latch extension wasn't pointing almost directly under the lens (i.e., if you shot from a point a little more to one side or the other). But one has to make these decisions on the spot and I trust you used the best possible angle, all things considered.
