I don't really think this conveys the idea of rust, but it is a striking shot.

To be honest, i don't really grasp the goal or message of this one's being b&w. Rust totally disappears, if I didn't know what the theme is I wouldn't know the tap is rusty.
Otherwise the pic is OK by me.

The new theme is about to be posted and I wanted to offer my comment and rating on this worthy image while I have a chance. This image stands out as a thumbnail a bit better than the full image, which makes me think that the large image could stand a bit more contrast or tonal depth, make it a more dramatic photo and draw higher ratings (seeing that it isn't featured). I don't see many b/w treatments in this theme and I must admit that this photo doesn't look rusty to me.
Nevertheless, I like this image and have given it above-average marks.

to see rust in a b/w image, you must have a lot of imagination... "imagination" is pretty rare or hard to find sometimes. I like the light and the details on this one...
