Heath: Once I'd commented and saw that it was by you, I wondered if it was a Brisbane shot. I'm curious to know how much Photoshop work went into this? It's really effective...

Steven: The shot started out as a HDR, but as you can see in the version on my site - http://www.heathcarney.com/montage/index.php?showimage=208 - the foreground is a little too bright. So I ran the burn tool over the foreground, and the rain to darken them up a bit.

To me the rain this represents is artificial - the clouds are over processed and the colours in the fore and mid ground are far too oversaturated to be able to see much detail .... (can you tell i'm not a fan of HDR/HDR stylee images!?)

I think it's a bit of a shame as it's a great viewpoint and obviously they are moody rain clouds there ... for my taste i'd say hold back on the PS !
