And i dont know why you dont see the rain from far away? If you think the pic is horrible or doesnt fit to the theme just rate "POOR" and stop talking crap, :)

SSH- Not talking crap. Just offering criticism. The final image quality as viewed here online is not crisp, shows pixilation, and if there is not increased saturation and sharpness on that area of orange in the clouds then I'm amazed but apologize. I don't mean to offend but offer criticism where I can. Criticism on images, not just kudos, is what helps everyone participating on this site improve. Bottom line though is that if you are happy with this, or any of your photos, that is all that matters no matter what I or anyone else thinks.

I don't get the sense of rain from this image and the nuclear orange toning in the sky is very unusual.??

@SSH...on Thursday, 23 November, right after the new theme (Rust) was posted. I just posted a new topice on the WeeklyShot Google group. The topic has to do with language and cultural differences and asks three questions.

I wonder if you simply misunderstood dcreighton's comments, as he is consistently supportive and usually leaves praise where he can along with constructive criticism. I wonder whether if he had first praised your striking image for its dramatic qualities, you would not have been so defensive. And, by the way, writing that honest criticism is "talking crap" asking for a fight in my neighborhood, but maybe no in yours.

My hope is that we can learn to offer each other honest, polite and constructive criticism without being attacked, either by the photographer whose photo is under discussion or by others who disagree with a posted opinion.

However, as some who know me will attest, I can be pretty tedious, tiresome and irritating on the one hand, and more than willing to argue on the other, but generally supportive and admiring on the third hand. Trying to do better, especially having offended sweet/feisty Ana by accident.
