I love the reverse symetry between the rain cloud and the butte in shadow. The tones work well and give a great sense of depth. Very nice.

Thank you, and special thanks to king. For your statistics, the final score is 3. 742. I also have one pic rated 3.62 and two over 3.8 that have not been featured. Any idea why?

Thanks to you and Ana for sharing some of your personal statistics to add to my collection. The statistics I posted on the WeeklyShot Google Group were based first on the ratings on my own images...the only ratings I had access to...and simple counts on the number of submissions, photographers and featured images. It is clear, now, that "overall ratings greater than 3.62 result in a featured image" is not an adequate rule of thumb. In my case, the highest rating I had for a non-reatured image was 3.62, and the lowest for a featured image was 3.684, so you can see where my guess comes from. I have no idea why your 3.8 overall image was not featured.

For those who don't read the Google group postings, I assembled and posted some basic, descriptive statistics on WeeklyShot metrics.
