too dark.

This is incredibly dark..... and the WHITE background at WS doesn't help it at all. Very hard to see.

Maybe someone smarter than me can throw a little light on this image

Interesting.Seems a little dark, but an interesting shot to this theme. I had to really look and think -- which I like in a photo -- until I saw the phone at the end.

I kinda get what you were going for here but it really is just too dark for me to fully appreciate. Is this deliberate and I'm just too dense to get the visual joke or is this a calibration-PC/Mac-temperature sort of thing?

uncommondepth said 647 days ago:

So perhaps a discussion on the list about calibration is in order. This is purposely a dark image, but I didn't think it was THAT dark. And my monitor is calibrated regulary.

That said; the actual phone is basically obscured in darkness. The image is the dusty phone cord. Another miss, obviously. I'm good at missing the mark! ;-)

I like the idea of featuring the cord. Unfortunately, this shot is just way too dark (either due to underexposure or post processing) and that makes it difficult to appreciate.

I read your comment about calibration, and I agree w/ you. I viewed this on a calibrated monitor however.

Lack of communication?

Budgie said 644 days ago:

WAY to dark but I like the idea.

Just read all the other comments about the darkness of the shot. Just to let you know my monitor is also calibrated (last week in fact) with a Spyder2.
