I read about this many years ago - bread as an ancient symbol for the male reproductive organ - really, not joking. OK, this is not wheat, still I sense something in this...

I can see where you are going with this image. It is, to my eyes however, too ornate and clustered to shout "phallic". A beautiful capture, but what it shouts out to me is "natural, outdoor setting".

I had a related idea for a photograph myself... specifically focusing on the stamens in an Easter Lilly we have. Unfortunately, I have not had the energy to actually try to capture the image due to life circumstances.

I've been seeing these all my life, and never really thought of them as being phallic. Pretty shot, though.
