What a lovely smile! The subject is great, but I'm really distracted by the background which benefited the high DoF. Some more context would also have greatly helped, I think.

thanks Ana. It is really unfortunate that the interest level has fallen off on this site. I posted another shot on Monday and even it ended up with only 12 ratings.

Craig, that is a very nice shot of a wonderful expression. I admit that I saw it but knew it had no chance of getting enough ratings before the new theme. Vernon is visiting so we have been busy entertaining him. :-)

BTW, I rated this but didn't comment earlier. I agree with nattfodd about context. For this old-school guy, I think this lovely shot could also be enhanced by darkening the edges and the corners a bit--especially the left side of the image--so the little girl's face, which has some lovely highlights and great expression, would stand out more.
