This lady was walking around the town square one Saturday afternoon and when I caught sight of her, I just had to take her picture. It was mid-summer and she was red as a lobster - I suppose from the tanning bed or maybe she just spent lots of time in her garden. She certainly had the head protection for such as that.

I thought she looked quite fetching. I only wish I had a full body shot but I was using my 50mm lens for the very first time and I was too close to her.

I was very impressed with how she held herself...so confident in her appearance and the determination in her face.

One more note...the color of the brick in the photo is the actual color. Some silly soul decided that hideous burgandy color was pretty. It pretty much ruined the colors in my photo lol.

She looks as if she might be running late for the Easter parade. This photo has ambiguous content (not necessarily a bad thing), appealing technical qualities and little annoyances, such as cropping just at the fingertips of the right hand.

Thanks for the comments, King...the chopping of her fingertips annoyed the heck out of me as well ;~)
