Damn,forgot to say"poetry in motion".

Thanks. These were just some college kids having some fun at Princeton in the days just before classes started in September.
They were fun to watch for the few minutes I had.
They asked me if I wanted to try it but I graciously declined their offer.

I like the dynamics in this shot - the concentration on the girl and the blue-shirt guy's faces, the disinterest of the pink-shorts guy and the 'distracted by the camera' of the other guy. Nice work.

Interesting activity. I've never seen college students (I'm guessing they're college students) do this in their free time. Usually, it's frisbee or hacky sack.

I really like this one. It's a photograph with a purpose.

I like it. It's relevant. I would have liked to see a softer background to make her stand out more. DOF would have helped for me.
CaptureThis said 259 days ago:
jbloch...this was shot at f3.5. I suppose I could have shot it at f2.8, 2 stops the max. on this particular lens, but I don't think at that distance 2 stops would have made that much of a difference here in terms of DOF.
I also wanted to keep the young man at right in focus. They were all engaged in this activity and I wanted to show that. The young man on the right had been on the rope just prior to this girl. She however, had more poise and elegant lines in comparison.

This ones a good fit imo. Not sure this is everyday per se, but its a good in life shot
CaptureThis said 259 days ago:
@stolenlife...Thanks. Apparently this event is a fairly common practice on the Princeton campus which occurs 3 or 4 days per week. They call it "slacklining". Here is an article I found:

I really like this one - there is a kind of campus atmosphere that I like.. and the Pocahontas has a wonderful gesture too !
Maybe only I wond have let only the character on the left for more impact..
