It looks like you stole this pose from someone else's snapshot.

Ana said 276 days ago:

I'll never understand why folks do this. Ew.
Might have had more impact with more of the scene, and maybe the person taking their picture.

nattfodd said 276 days ago:

No one was taking their picture, that was the point. They really looked that happy to have pigeons all around them, which was why I took the shot in the first place.

Ana said 276 days ago:

They REALLY look like they're posing and smiling for a camera. It's a great shot... just a bit tight. I'd like to see their surroundings a bit more.

flipthom said 276 days ago:

I love the facial expressions but overall, it feels a bit busy.

And good heavens, that's a lot of birds!

nattfodd said 276 days ago:

@flipthom: that's what happens when you try to feed pigeons on Piazza San Marco, in Venezia... I did it a few minutes later and it sure is quite an experience!

King said 276 days ago:

Nice shot without a central point of attention. There are many fine qualities about this image, but, IMHO, it is simply lacking a starring attraction. High marks, though, on average.

King said 276 days ago:

...Piazza San Marco, in Venezia...you sly devil. Haven't visited there yet.

nattfodd said 276 days ago:

@King: you definitely should. Venezia is a city one can't help but loving at first sight (and is a photographer's paradise).

JIMJIM said 276 days ago:

The man in the middle seems very happy
but the man on the left too
and the pigeons also they are !!
hmmmm..

This is a pretty wild shot. I wish it was a bit sharper and maybe a bit wider view. I'm not crazy about the crop. But this definitely has impact for me.
