This is a beautiful composition. The detail in the silhoettes is just beautiful. Wonderful framing. It may not be as orange as others, but it still hits on relevance for me. It looks like it could be a scene out of Harry Potter.

Nice - I like the fact that there is minimal orange - yet it is so central to the photo as a whole.

The more I look at this the more it grows on me. At first, even though there was something quite compelling, the overall image seemed odd to have the tall, skilly lamppost on the left to balance the short, squat people on the right. Plus, it seems that if there had been only the one person on the right, in profile, it would be stronger. There's something haunting about the tree on the right, almost reaching down with an arm. The more I look at this the more appealing it becomes...

This is a nice mellow silhouette shot. I honestly don't think it will be featured because it doesn't have the wow factor that some of the others do, but I really do like this shot - it is very understated and the framing is lovely.

Laurie, hi and thanks. I would guess that witches and wizards have headed for this place over the centuries.

Arne, thank you. I was concerned about the lack of 'orange', but I reckoned that the yellow and red had melded together enough to produce the overall colour of 'orange'.

George, hi and thank you. The tree was the shape that caught my eye here on top of Primrose Hill. I live nearby so came back a few times to wait for the light and characters to combine and make this scene. I did come back the following month to photoraph the scene with a solitary character .. it seems a bleaker and lonelier place in that photo.

Hi Cat, thank you. I like the idea of being 'featured' but that's not what motivates me or draws me in. The pictures that appear here every week in response to a theme are what inspires me - they inspire me to think a little harder about 'photography'.

I truly love the feel of this!

Carlo, thank you. Your comment triggered a series of thoughts about the 'feeling' of a photograph. This could probably be a topic for discussion, but I'll raise it here and maybe come back to it later. For me the 'feeling' of an image is all-important. If I was 'rating' an image the 'feeling' of the image would always carry a lot more 'weight' than such things as composition, technique, or image quality .. and sometime I would want to unpack the nature of these 'feelings' triggered by different images.
