Wow, this is striking! I imagine you might get a few comments saying it is red rather than orange - but I reckon it is a blood-red orange ;-)

I'm sure I won't be the only one to say that this is red to my eyes! Maybe it's the monitor though!

Great image. I have seen a lot of shots like this, but usually they are not zoomed in as much, which gives this image it's interest.

TSR, cheers, the technique used to create the image was using a transmission scanner, high res and big enlargement.

This is a neat idea. A bit soft for my liking, though perhaps that's what you were going for. Over sharp would, it seems, not work. Perhaps somewhere in the middle? It's all subjective, though. The color and contrast are vivid.
