I like the composition, normally i can't stand things to be in the center. But with the bottom part of the frame a little heavier than the top it helps a bit. and i like the texture it adds to it.

If it's Washinton state & New york they are indeed opposites..But it's probably reffering to Washington DC. Which are on the same side of the coast..So i don't know.

Catastrophic, yes I was referring to DC vs NYC as you guessed. While they are not on opposite coasts, I wanted to contrast these two cities against one another. When I saw these signs, it made me think of the choice many graduating college seniors face, to go to DC or to NYC. What kind of life would each one offer them?

Also, I took this photo from a train station in between the two cities. One way led to Washington, DC, and the opposite way led to New York City.
