excellent focus on the old pages. Not sure what is 'one half' though.

I like the shallow DOF and the fact that these pages are so worn. I would like to have seen more of the overall book to get a better feel for the relevance but overall, nicely done.

Interesting image. Very textured (dual meaning... a pun). I am not sure if this is a book that is open and showing half, or if it is half of a ream of old paper. But the quality of the image is striking. Very pleasant!

I like when someone goes for a subtle take on the theme, but I cannot quite grasp the relevance. I am assuming this is open to halfway? It's not really clear enough since there is no context. I also would like more DOF to make the edges of the pages in focus left to right.

I like the colours and DOF - It's been a long read !?

OK, only one more rating to go... This is a detail of the edge of a very large book on exhibit at The Getty Center in Los Angeles. The title of the exhibit is: Music for the Masses: Illuminated Choir Books. I managed to get off a couple of shots before the kind lady guard came over to tell me that there was not photography allowed in that exhibit. The light was very low and I was using my brand new Nikon VR lens. This is a handheld exposure at 1/10th a second, that lens is amazing. The large book was displayed @half open.

Half of what?

It's an interesting image, I like the texture, but this is irrelevant.

Detail of the edge of a ancient book, half open. See above.

"and most of it is out of focus"... !)
