Very nice. The colors are excellent. I love that the other balloon is behind this front one, giving so much more interest.

Beautiful image, and I see that there are two "halves" of different balloons. If I were really picky, I'd probably point out that the exact percentage of the balloon showing is probably a bit off from "half" but that doesn't stop me from giving it good marks.

Less than half in front, more than half in back. Image seems flat. Very nice composition.

I have a few shots like this from the Quick Check balloon festival in NJ. I thought about using one but It never looked like half to me.

Unfortunately, this isn't really saying half to me either. If the lower balloon weren't cut to the right of the frame and perhaps a little more of the lower portion showing, maybe it would say "half", or if the timing of the shot were such that less of the far balloon was cresting the forward balloon then I think it would really hit the mark.

It is a lovely photo though with some very pretty colors against the blue sky.

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play nicely at the balloon festival. There were a lot of clouds, which caused the event to be canceled early due to storms. The clouds caused my shots to be a bit flat, but I did my best to polish the turd that Mother Nature handed me.

Was this the festival in NJ last month? I didn't make it to this years, because of a schedule conflict. I had a blast last year but it was hot, hot, hot. I know this year the weather didn't co-operate at the NJ festival, lots of "liquid sunshine" as they say.

No, it was at the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival in Eden, Utah. They also do a "glow and burn" on Saturday night, but a massive storm with 60 mph winds rolled in, causing everyone to run for cover.

I see...The glow and burn is pretty cool. I did not see it last year, I left too early, and I don't actually know if they did it there. I have seen pics from other shows and it is definitely very cool.
