The smoke from the cigarette makes this picture more intersting. However, it gives an odd illusions because at first it looks like it is coming from the eye.

While I hate smoking (I'm a reformed smoker), I think this is a fantastic shot.

Very nice capture. I wish the hand weren't present in the shot. I think it would add more impact to the face, which is very nicely cropped in half. High marks, nonetheless.

Love it, just a little more contrast would boost the grit factor and really enhance the nature of the subject.

It's nice, but it looks soft and fuzzy, and for me it feels too low contrast.

too oversharp - and isn't interesting that while smoking once looked cool now it just looks, at best, dumb

Funny how one person says it looks soft and fuzzy and another says it is too sharp...lol I think people are seeing different things on their computers. All I know is that the print looks great.

Second, calling my image dumb is just uncalled for zorilla. You don't have to like smoking to appreciate an image. People use cigs in images all the time to get the smoke effect and that is why I used it here. Capture This said it the correct way! They might hate smoking but appreciate the shot.
