Might I mention the fact that this is the foundation of a building (my other shot was featured from this place) only this one has no tile (as the other one does) but it has the grid from the tile.

LOL, those self comments are too funny :0 :) Lovely picture, it made me think of Dr. Seuss. I like the contrast and the spikes, makes a great weirdish wild space photo.

Now when I first saw this shot I thought it was a murder scene with the shadows being the body and splattered blood. (Sort of makes one wonder where my mind has been, eh?) As for proper comments, I think the shadows are a bit dark at each tuft of grass. At least on my monitor its a bit difficult to figure out what I am looking at initially. Hence the weird first impression.

I do think it is worth each and every one of the comments you have received. :-P
