mooch..what do you mean, "I probably like this image as much as you liked mine?" What image are you referring to? You imply that (one), you knew this was my shot, and that (two) I didn't like your shot. Not sure how you could determine either!

I am pretty sure it was built more than a decade ago, being that I was on an island in the Mississippi River that held an early settlement. Correct, this could have been built as a replica, but I don't believe it was. But then, that could be said for any building posted.... any photograph of a photograph posted.

@ mooch - I was wondering the same thing Ana was. How did you know this was Ana's shot or how she liked yours?

Thank you, everyone. I was standing in knee deep snow when I shot this, out in the middle of a field on St. Feriole Island in Wisconsin (well, IN the Mississippi River.
There are a wonderful collection of buildings there. It was a magical place. NO people, no life. Just me, snow and buildings. Perfect!

Oh, and through that window? That's Iowa. I was in Wisconsin. : )

1. you woul dhave had to rate my image before posting yours. It just so happens you asked of my 400+ year old buidling "but how old is this?"

2. Thus had you marked mine and either not left a comment or a disparaging one, it was on the money that you did in fact... not like my image, which is true, echoed by your passing comment

I still stand by what I said above. This does not say old, obviously it would seem that otheres disagree.

Another comment I got which I really will cherish is "this doesn't look so much old as big" well, perhaps a building is big, but believe me, it certainly is old.

Am I annoyed, a little vexed... you betcha

Didn't get to rate this Ana but if I did then all 5's. Like I said on your site* I think it is one of your best shots. I don't think there is anything at all that would improve it. Well Done.

@mooch, yep, I did ask 'how old is this?' on your shot, because I was interested in knowing. I was taught this super cool thing about asking questions and learning. 400, wow! That's amazing! Glad I rated it high, and assumed that someone wouldn't post something built in the past decade, and that it was, in fact old.
I didn't recognize your building, and I'm sorry. But I come from a VERY young country. :)
