A bad technique and composition let this down. Lighting and DoF especially. I like the blue of the fungus though.

Yuck! You need to clean out the fridge more often. This would be stronger with a little more depth of field so that something other than the mold was in focus too. Took me a while to work out what I was seeing.

This is one of my ideas, but we just cleaned the frig. Unpleasantly high marks, in general (that's a joke).

Thanks for all the comments from everyone! To answer the questions you're all dying to know, this is a little Tupperware container full of very old green chilies. Before you go judging me - they weren't mine!

Marty - You are definitely right, probably not great for the eating.

Mooch - I agree that this image isn't nearly as strong as it could have been. Unfortunately I had very little to work with, I actually took this shot in a bathroom because it was the brightest room in the house. I also tweaked the saturations a bit to make the whole image feel more "old" but I'm not sure if it added as much as it took away. The blue on the fungus was really cool though, it was also sweating little brown droplets. Ugghhh.

Kaden - Yeah, I think I got overzealous with the processing and took away a bit too much from the image. Maybe next time!

King - I figured someone else would be playing the moldy card, so I tried to get one up as soon as possible. Though, you could still go with it and do better than this one. Definitely one of the lowest rated images I've posted in a while...

I rated this high on all but composition. The left edge of the container is distracting, but otherwise, it's great for the theme.

Ana - Don't get me wrong, I wasn't really trying to blame anyone about the lower rating, I was just a bit disappointed. I had thought that it was a better shot than most people were seeming to think. However, I got a few more ratings on it and the scores have been coming up so I will stop being whiny about it now :)
