I would have pointed the camera a little lower to include more of the foreground and less sky.

This is a pretty impressively scary sign though. I can picture an old dilapidated mansion down the end of a long driveway...

I think this gateway says old pretty effectively without the desaturation in post. I think I would have preferred a slight tilt down to reduce the amount of sky and show more old cemetery.

I can definitely see this as the opening shot of a post apocalyptic zombie film. Especially because of the contrast between the ravaged gateway and the clear blue sky. Then you'd pan down to see nothing but empty cemetery.... or something like that.

I *like* cemeteries. In addition, I find the dead to be considerably more reliable than the living.
