A very difficult shot to expose due to the backlighting. The subject doesn't grab me because the motion of her drinking takes away from the shot. A frontal portrait would have worked better.

Wow! I love this photo!! And what a picturesque dichotemy of old age and modernity together. Definitely high marks all around!

this is an interesting combination to me. The older lady sipping on starbucks. I generally think of younger (20-50ish) sucking down a starbucks on the way to the office wearing a suit witha briefcase and a cell phone in one ear, and yet here this woman looks to be taking her time, enjoying her coffee and just thinking about something or maybe nothing at all. The bag is a little distracting. I might have zoomed in on her a little more, but I know that when photographing people in public you don't want to make a scene by going over to remove the bag :o) I like this shot. Thanks for sharing it.

A lovely capture... would sure like to know where her thoughts were. One can only imagine. I like how she is isolated from the background giving total emphasis on the subject.
