A lovely shot. I like the sepia-ish choice. The two have a lot of history together, it seems, which is quite appropriate for the theme. Compositionally I think it would be even stronger if there was not so much space above their heads. The pot on the lower left is a bit distracting. Overall it's really a great shot.

This could be a much better shot if it was sharper and if you cropped off some of the top and removed the distracting flower pot on the bottom left. A little more contrast (which would give you more "sharpness") would have also worked as well as dodging the lady's jacket and the bottom right where the gentleman's foot is to lighten it a touch would have worked. I do like the story this portrait of the couple gives us. The man seems a little standoffish (is that a word?) and seems to be trying to pull away from intimacy. Just like my dad! :)
