this IS grainy. so the relevance is "above excellent".

The shadow is somewhat mysterious, but overall the image is too noisy and pixellated for me...with jpeg artifacts...which tends to compete for attention rather than complement it.

Yes, but to me the noise sacrifices impact for relevance.

Noise usually does. :) Fetishes aside, even silver-gelatin film grain usually detracts from the image. Which i suppose is why so many of the featured photos for this theme were only marginally relevant.
