I think I recognize that room, and I've seen that pose, or something similar to it, once or twice before.
What doesn't seem to fit is the lower-than-expected technical quality if this is the person I think it is. Not to worry, though, as I'm almost always wrong.

I wish the corner where the lonely boy is sitting were lighter than the surrounding area. He is a bit lost in the darkness.

King, that poem, it's exactly the feeling I wanted to achieve with this image.

And yes, you recognized the room "Out Of My Window" (one floor down). Thanks for the "lower-than-expected technical quality" I'll take it as a compliment ;)

About being lost in the darkness, doesn't that emphasize the loneliness?

Yes...take it as a compliment. I gave you high marks on this photo.

People make instant judgments of photographs, then rationalize or savor those judgments at a different pace. Since the eye is drawn to the lighter areas of the photo (I believe this is true), the lonely figure contributes less to the overall impact that you are striving for, in my opinion. I also find an overabundance of out-of-focus foreground that isn't particularly pleasing and acts more as a barrier than as a guide into the interior of the photo.

I don't have anything invested in this image and it isn't one of my favorites of your work (and you know what I think of your work). However, my remarks are intended to be analytical rather than critical.
