nattfodd, i appreciate your honest critique. if "night" isn't the first thing that comes to mind, what is? also, does it seem to you like this was not taken at night? i'm just curious.

@George: I'm not so sure, probably something like "vintage" (though, not being a native speaker, I'm not totally certain that it means what I think). Or "retro", as duncmc said.

It looks like it has been shot at night, of course (and if I had any doubts about it, the sign on the left part is giving it away), but my remark came from the feeling that the night isn't the main subject of the shot, as opposed to the car or the mood. That said, it's a damn fine photo and that's all I'm asking for :)

As for the illuminated sign, I kind of like it, it breaks the "perfectness" of the composition as it is quite unexpected here.

...maybe because (here in France) this is the night* and I am listening to very cool (electro-rasta) music - but definitly your image - George - is a cool (night*) image ;-)
