This is a nice harbor scene.

While I really like the colors and the night sky, I feel that the composition is a little too stretched. The focus of the image is that long bridge (is that what it is?) and then the edges are distorted from the wide angle, which stretches this more. Then there's also nothing in the foreground, so it seems that this wide stretch is the point of the pictures, but yet it feel a little empty to me.

Oh wait, is that a train going by? If so, that's pretty cool. :)

nattfodd said 632 days ago:

@luminouslens: yes, it's indeed a train. This was taken last november in Stockholm (the royal castle is just outside of the frame on the left).
I agree on the wide-angle deformation, that I hadn't noticed before. Someone suggested me to use a panoramic format and crop all the foreground, which may also solve your first issue.

Thanks for the comment!

Ooh, I know where this is :P I like the pastel colours of the lights reflecting in the water. The bright line in the sky is a bit blown out and distracting though.

Beautiful blues in this and I love the reflection. I'm a little confused by the white streak in the sky though. What is that?

nattfodd said 632 days ago:

@beckn32: I don't really know either, to be honest. Since this was taken just after sunset, I suspect it is a fragment of cloud with light coming from bottom.

Nice colors in this. Water and night skies are always a great combination.
