I really like the idea you're going for here. I can see symbolism of the end of man's habitat and the beginning of the sea and the dark, unknown beyond. Maybe you weren't going for that, but I certainly see it.

The sparkly rocks in the foreground are nice, but I think we're seeing them at the expense of the bright carnival on the pier in the background. Those blown out lights would be much more satisfying if they were tamed.

there is a whole lot going on in this shot..lens flare or something on the right side of the shot, above the water, and the lights on that pier are so bright, it takes away from the detail of the objects back there. the clearest part of the shot is the sand.
