Thanks kadenajack. I agree with everything you say. This is not a beautiful photo; it's off kilter, taken in a junkyard behind some everyday folks watching the fireworks...I don't like those tattoos either. But, I do like something about it.
Thanks for the thoughts.

It's a cool pic. But I'm beginning to wonder: is the theme "night" or "fireworks"?

Sorry, I didn't notice the tatoos. But for me, that's what make the picture more interesting.

Tattoos are just a pet peeve of mine, so take that comment with a grain of salt. I see where you're going with the atmosphere. The shot does feel like I'm sitting (or with the tilt, leaning) behind these people watching the show.

love the couple on the right. nice shot.

oh, a discussion on tattoos! yay! Personally, I'd never get one...but to each his (or her) own. People have been going around "painting" themselves for a couple thousand years.

Thanks Ana, glad you like the photo. I don't dislike tattoos; some of my best friends are painted : )
Really, I do like many tattoos, I just find the one on the woman is this photo somewhat distracting, as kadenajack said.
BTW, if you want to read a great book that has tattooing as a theme, read John Irving's latest, Until I Find You. I learned quite a bit about the tattoo subculture.
@phillipe...I know, there's a lot out there...hopefully this one is not just about fireworks.

This is bettered by similar images I'm afraid. Good attempt at doing a slightly different take on it though.

I'm sure this is just me, but I hate tattoos sticking out of clothing, and despite the beautiful fireworks blast going off over their heads, my eyes keep getting sucked over to that girl's backside. The jury's still out for me on the tilt, but I generally don't care for them. What I do like is the nice exposure of both the fireworks blast and the foreground people.
