Interesting. I thought I'd already seen this one until I went back and looked to see that the same scene had been submitted, but obviously taken at a different time. http://weeklyshot.org/theme/night/response/6/

I think this works against the photographer ratings wise since I can compare the two photographs side by side, which is exactly what I'm doing. I don't even know if they were taken by the same person, but, I find response 6 to be the stronger of the two on three points.

1) Relevance - #6 appears to be taken later, and is thus more night-like for me.

2) Composition - #6 has a little more water, and thus reflections on the water and a little less sky, which in this case isn't adding much at the top of the frame.

3) Technique - #6 is slightly sharper overall. That's especially evident with the lights on the top of the leftmost sky scraper.

All that being said, I still like this image, but it's rare to get to judge two this similar side by side. Thanks for the exercise.

Great colours - I find the tilted horizon (or appartent tilted horizon) a bit distracting.
