This is a very strange scene with so many different kinds of lighting. It looks like night in some places and day in others! Why is there what looks to be bright blue coming through the trees in the center? I assume that can't be daylight and sky, right? The rest of the image makes that seem impossible. (Can you tell I am confused?)
Also, where is this? It almost looks like the Philsopher's Path in Kyoto, but the covered bridge would be out of place if that were true!

Wow. I like this. Almost fairy tale like. I'm sure by day this is just a average and likely ugly location. Super, high marks overall.

I wouldn't have guessed that it is a night photography, but it's really fascinating. Did you get the colours back with postprocessing? If not, I would be very interested in knowing how you reached that effect!

this doesn't look like night at all. the sky is midday bright. the saturation is burning my eyes.

Wow, that's a lot of light and color for a night shot. It's beautiful. I think there may be too much going on though. Perhaps a slight crop on the right or a larger crop on the left would better focus my attention. I still like it though.

schmee...the "midday light" you're referring to is a building in the background with indoor lights on.

Half of the picture says night, the other half looks to bright to me.

I'm assuming this is an HDR image. You can tell it's a night shot but the range of light and tones makes it hard to tell. The bright blue on the left looks like daylight sky. So unless a person is really familiar with HDR, this would probably get low relevance ratings here. Too bad, I think this is creative and different. The colors are terrific.

I think this says more about folks not understanding long exposure, color balance issues with various light sources, etc then it is with not understanding HDR. All these light sources were obviously from the existing light sources and I don't think that blue light looks anything like daylight sky as I saw the building immediately.
Good job Justin.

Just to clarify, I didn't think the blue was sky either, but I wasn't too sure what it was from. I agree it is a great image. Wish I knew if it was HDR or not though. Not that it makes any difference to my opinion of it - but because I don't often get the opportunity to shoot in urban areas I am curious how it was done.

Wow, bizarre colors.
