Quite lovely and imparts a feeling, though it feels like it's missing a strong or primary subject. My eye jumps immediately to the bright lights, but then is led down the path to nothing and then jumps back to the bright lights.

The detail in the tree and the cobbled road is great, as are the rays of light from that streetlamp shining through the branches. However the compostion doesn't work for me.

If some commenters and the photographer himself had so many problems with the composition, how did this image get featured? What are you non-commenting raters thinking?

I did not rate this image but as a commenter i think (and would say) that the compo doesn't work for me as well - but what makes this image so appealing (and saying Wow or Cool..) is the very special ray light and warm toning

@ JimJim, that certainly makes sense to me, and was how I rated it earlier on (see my comment above). The tones, texture and overall mood of the shot overcame any composition problems for me.

I'm glad this got featured, and I really like the composition (not as much as the general atmosphere, but still). I think the mood is the main subject here, not a specific physical object, and it works very well.

Thanks guys... The weakness of this picture is the composition, I knew it when I posted it...

It wasn't easy to do this kind of picture dur to the fog, it's not safe to be in the middle of this road by night and fog...

And if fact, I just wanted to show the volumetric light effect with the fog...

So the composition sucks but I thing this is not the only thing to watch...

Anyway, thakn you...
