Hm, well, you definitely have negative space here. And I can imagine that the photo is saying something about privacy and surveillance. However, I'm not finding this photo to be particularly interesting... maybe more contrast to bring out the texture of the wall would help. Or maybe a more dramatic perspective, rather than straight on?

Lots of negative space here but on the wrong side IMO. I feel like the camera should be looking into the empty space and not against the edge of the frame. I like the concept and the image overall but do view the negative space as mentioned above.

I guess it is relevant, but doesn't have a lot of impact for me. I also wish that line (the corner of the two walls) was parallel to the edge of the frame.

To me, IMHO, you are on the right track, but the so-called negative space doesn't tell me anything, doesn't add to the image. It seems that the balance of the image should be more in front of the camera, where the camera is pointed, focused. Could use, IMHO, some judicious cropping.
