There's a bit too much going on behind the subject for this to meet my interpretation of the theme. Otherwise it's a very nice image with some graeat tone and colour, I particularly like the reflections in the wet sand. Compostion-wise it's all a bit too central for my taste, and it's a tiny, tiny thing but if only that foot had been just above the horizon…

I like how the flow of the person matches the sky.

Assuming this is Lake Michigan.
Assuming this person is petite.
Assuming this person has an excellent sense of humor.
Assuming this person marches to her own drum.

High marks here. Hope this was submitted early enough to get featured.

Hah! Fooled me good! I'm almost never right when I guess, but it's so much fun.

Is this you, Jason, or your model?

King said 552 days ago:

Lake Pontchartrain?

King said 552 days ago:

Gulf coast?

And if NOT! Humph. Glad I fooled you.

This is the gulf coast, St Joseph Peninsula State Park in Florida, near Appalachacola. Tiny little place, but absolutely beautiful, and no tourists. I think they have won best beaches in the country for the last couple of years in a row, too.

And yeah, it looks like I missed the boat on this one, I still need 7 ratings...

Thanks for the comments, anyway!

Nice arabesque. Is this you? or a model? or would you rather not say?

Submitting late in the theme is one of my favorite ways not to get rejected for Favored status---can't get rejected if < 13 ratings.
:>)

P.S. - you'd have 13 ratings for sure if the model were nude.

King,

Being a dancer I assume you mean arabesque in that sense. It is my wonderful assistant, though I certainly wouldn't be embarrassed if I could strike such a worthy pose! I paid her a lot of money to do this shot, and she got offended when I wanted her to get naked! It was cold though, so we'll forgive her (this time) for keeping me from getting featured...

King said 552 days ago:

The dancer's arabesque is named after the Moorish arabesque...the architectural feature.

Ah well, another one for the books. Maybe I can resubmit this for 'night'. Though, I guess the sun has NOT officially set. I'm probably more disappointed that JIMJIM's great shot wasn't featured...
