Look Up! This would probably have been featured in that theme, even considering the other excellent bird photos.

This works equally well in this theme. It's a most aesthetically pleasing image, IMHO.

Another that got featured before I even saw it in the offering. This is a great seagull picture. I've been trying to take a truly great one, and so far I've failed. I would be very proud to have this one in my portfolio. Great job all around.

On the whole, I can't say I'm too fond of these looking up at seagulls photos.

That said, this is probably my favorite so far. I does think the lens flare really does add some impact, and the colors are great. With the sunburst effect, it reminds me of the depictions of the holy spirit as a dove...
