I'm afraid I'm left feeling the negative space detracts from, rather than adds to this photo.

This doesn't seem to fit the theme. The negative space is ancillary to the photograph and does not add much to it. I don't find myself wondering what's inside the door-- my eye and mind are led outside, which is cluttered as far as composition goes.

Excellent! It tells a lot, the outside world!

Although not really sure about the relevancy, I like the way this image produces a feelin of calmness - was it taken in a Bouddhist temple or a religious place ? Nice image.

Thanks everyone...

JIMJIM: This was taken in Jerusalem along the Via Dolorosa (The Way of the Cross)... Our guide took us on a shortcut through this church on our way to see the "Church of the Holy Sepulcher", which was through the door in the photo and a few paces to the right... So, you're right on target with the location- Definitely a religious place. :)
