Hmmm. Interesting and suggestive in a way, but I think I need a hint of the person wearing this jacket for the image to really speak to me. Or, maybe I just need to give it some more time. I'll have to come back to this one before rating it...

it was hanging in the cupboard and as I opened the door, the light from the roof lightened just this part of the jacket. there is no person wearing it.

the pp here is just a very slightly darkening of the other clothes.

Well I studied it longer and have to say it doesn't work for me with so much black. There's no way to tell it's in a cupboard, really, though I suppose one could guess at that. I prefer just a bit more context. Sorry, Vernon :-) I find it to be, nonetheless, a bold submission.

I've decided that Vernon never creates an image that he has not thought through.

I may not agree with some of his decisions, but once he describes and explains his decisions, my eyes are opened and I always gain a new appreciation for the photograph.

This is the mark of a mature photographer.
