I wish the droplets were sharper, and the unatural geometric pattern wasnt there

You did a good job of keeping the grid parallel to the frame, but I think you should have moved a little right so you wouldn't have a line along one edge (this could also be fixed by cropping). Ideally, I would like to see the same fraction of cut squares on all four sides. I do like the juxtaposition of the orderly squares (shadow of a screen?) of the more chaotic drops. Good eye!

I'm not sure what you mean by unnatural geometric pattern...the drops? Also I was working with a focal depth of about a millimeter, and in order to keep the silhouette of the screen blurry, I didn't want to increase it. There is always going to be some part of the raised droplets that isn't sharp.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by original photo. This is the original photo. *puzzled*

Thanks for all the feedback; I will always look at this a different way.
