Reading the description, I interpreted the theme, not as things of nature, but things that were not digitally manipulated.

Culberda, this structure was a temporary art piece made of a house that was going to be demolished. It no longer exists.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This was an art piece sponsored by Art League Houston. They were going to demolish two houses to make room for their new building so they let two artists create a large funnel vortex out of the buildings first. It was such a fun thing to see, in part because you knew it was only temporary.
