I'd like to see this in color...it may not be better in color, but I think this pattern in b/w is lacking something. Nice shot, though.

As PhotoShop happily displays 256 of the discrete pixel colors in your image, I must confess that you are right, but what subtlety. Now that I know what colors to look for, I can sort of see them.

I think you left the smiley face off your comment, i.e., "this is color. :>)"--you had to be smiling when you read my comment.
Mind telling us what this is?
