It's an interesting shot but it isn't abstract.

I find this an interesting idea for an image, although I'm not sure it fits the theme. I really like the fact that we can see through the mouth to the blue sky. I think you have way too much out-of-focus grey at the bottom of the frame which you could crop out. Or better yet, use a longer focal length and move the camera so as to eliminate most of the grey and enlarging the subject while increasing the negative sky space (the bottom of the gargoyle would be much closer to the bottom of the frame while the top of its head would remain about the same distance from the top of the frame). I would also suggest moving to the left or the right.
