I love the 'graphic' quality to this. Nice one.

What the heck - can i ever learn to make such good ones out of so shamefully simple scenes??? Hope so...

What i maay not have fully realized: what was the idea behind shifting the balance to the left with that empty part on the right edge? I would have instinctly place it so the poles are like vertically symmetrically arranged - maybe that's why it would end up being much less interesting than this one?

The view skyward from a jail cell? ;-) Kinda interesting monochromatic bars against a deep blue background, though I'm finding it a bit static to my eye.

It's gorgeous. But doesn;t seem "natural" to me. I guess the sky is natural. Looks like a very nice abstract of an urban/man-made subject.

First, thank you very much everyone for ratings and comments...

bioLarzen: well, although sometimes symmetry does look good, I don't think it would work in this particular photo. Besides, a symmetrical lining would be boring, imho.

gorin-images: have you read the theme description?
"By this I mean photographs that are abstract because of what is naturally there (a shadow, a reflection, an oil pool, messy hair) and not there because of digital manipulation or PS tools"

;)

You are right. It is late, I am tired, and I was too quick to comment, and not slow enough to wait and think before doing that. Sorry.

bioLarzen said 620 days ago:

You're just right with your views on symmetry, I guess :)

Intensely graphic, excellent composition.

The light and tone on those pipes give the image it's great sense of depth and the lines and color give it great graphic appeal too. Well seen.
