are they your neighborhood?

culberda said 412 days ago:

Wish the top of that flag wasn't clipped...

beckn32 said 412 days ago:

Yes Redchilli, this is my neighborhood. These are highschool kids in NJROTC (Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) of which my son is a part of. They march around our neighborhood in order to get a marching ribbon. I also have to say that I completely uploaded the wrong image. The other one is much better (or at least to me it is).

I wish this was sharper and there wasn't so much uninteresting road in the foreground.

A think a bit more attention to the composition was needed, the half guy at the left is distracting and the flags really needed a bit more space at the top. The image also appears quite soft.

I wish I could see more of the actual neighborhood. This is more a shot of the people, than the surroundings.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this is Kim's neighborhood, although I may be wrong.

Hummingbird said 411 days ago:

At least I was right about the neighborhood. The fence gave and the marchers gave it away.

Hummingbird said 411 days ago:

@Kim, please correct me if I'm wrong, but were you trying to show what my husband's parents and the other military brats have told me about the neighborhoods they lived in, which is the kids may not have realized it but they lived behind a big fence?

mysight said 410 days ago:

This could be my neighborhood too!

Hummingbird, yep, we live surrounded by a huge fence. Sometimes I wonder if they are trying to keep people in or out. :o) My other shot in this theme was taken "outside the gate", down the street from us. Two completely different styles of living within a one mile radious.
