Great use of light.

Thank you :)
This is taken at the Museum of modern Art in Bonn. I t is very near to our house and I go there very often to show exhibitions but even more often to take photographs...:)

I love the contrast, and especially I like the distance between the statue and its shadow. Great light.

Maybe a bit more explanation about this one:
Sometimes I choose a place where I have a lot of time for composing....and than I wait there until something happens....:)

Very nice image..I like this a lot. I almost wish that you didn't bring out the shadows as much and left them darker (ie the shadows from the sculpture and the top left). You just notice the grain more which I usually love in images but doesn't work much for me in this case. Very nice photograph and I love the high contrast.

Thx :)

Well I know that high contrast images are very catchy and modern nowadays. For me it was impostant to leave a bit of structure inside the shadows to prevent the different darktones I saw at this place.

Concerning the grain....well thats film and scanned....and in the end this jpg is not comparable to the print in my hands.....

Sory not prevent...I meant preserve....:)

I knew it was film Jen-s..that's why I liked it :). My point was minor. Believe me I have had my difficulty in scanning as well. What scanner are you using btw?

Jen-s said 448 days ago:

I am using an Epson Perfection V700. This is a pretty good scanner but I would love to have the possibility to show how the prints really "feel" :)

The epson is suffcient for scanning negatives (which I do sometimes to have an imprsion befor going into the darkroom). Especially medium format comes out in a suffcient quality...:)

Here is one example:

I'm not a big fan of grain, but I really like it in this shot. The high key and high contrast work well too. I like this.
