Looks like a lovely little village. Something out of a movie.

"Heart of Hoosierland"

Neat image that evokes feelings of small town America and has enough interesting elements to keep me looking for a few moments. Only downside is maybe a little too much sky...

kpaul said 448 days ago:

@ culberda :

Yeah, it's kinda too balanced looking at it more.

Thanks, though.

Shot from the stadium of the high school football field, small town America? I see that have at least one cop car. I like the simplicity and unpretentiousness of this photograph. Some will want the horizon to be level and less centered, I guess. I see I have given you high marks, on average.

King - it was taken from top of this <a href="http://www.weeklyshot.org/theme/twisted/response/57/">"bucket truck"</a> (long story)... about 60 feet up. Thanks.

Even more impressive. What town?

I photographed the Glen Rose nuclear power reactor, while under construction, from a basket hanging from a crane about 10,000 feet (I exaggerate only slightly, from my point of view) up in the air. Quite an experience.

the Heart of Hoosierland. ;)

King said 448 days ago:

So I have to guess? Elwood, Indiana?

kpaul said 448 days ago:

yep. Elwood. the dome building is their old city hall. pretty old building.

Man, there is something very special about small towns.
