Such a classic old sign.

Not in love with the side of the building.

Now this neon shot I like. It's interesting that it's daylight (or at least the sun's coming up) and hte sign is on. Great colors. Also, being lighter out you can appreciate the texture of the sign (and that little ribbon next to the P). good shot!

Neon signs are always so interesting as photographic subjects. I like the style and I like the perspective. I am not sure if the dark (dusky) backdrop is the most effective for this image though as a significant amount of the neon is non-functional. This makes the background and subject blend together somewhat for me.

What a great old neon sign. There is something about your choice of composition that is just a bit off. Either a tighter crop on the right or more space would add to this image.

Pursang - Funny you should mention that...I cropped off a good bit...perhaps too much, in order to draw more attention to the sign.
I hate the fact that I couldn't get a better shot of just the sign without the building interferring. You see, there were customers parked and in the way...and the one's that were parked where I wanted to shoot were much bigger and meaner looking than your average malt shop consumer so I had to settle for this shot. As Lange said, perhaps if the building's neon lights were functioning properly, it would've added a much different effect.
Thanks for the honest feedback and constructive criticism everyone.

Nice shot! I would maybe have preferred if you could have found an angle where the roof doesn't partially obscure the sign. Maybe even sort of points towards the sign? For instance slightly to your right and towards the ground?
