Muskogee, OK; eastern (green) part of the state.
The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame is here, these guitars are all painted by local artists, then bought by business's and placed around town. Tulsa and Oklahoma City have done similar things.

Tulsa is my hometown. I really should check out those music exhibits. Do you happen to know where the one in Tulsa is located?

(mysight) This exhibit is on Main St. in front of one of the local banks next to our mall. My office is 2 miles east from there. There are 24 of these exhibits around town.

(flipthom) They aren't in Tulsa, they have penguins. They are promoting the Tulsa Zoo, while we are promoting Country Music essentially. Muskogee has the painted guitars and the Ok Music Hall of Fame.

...and now I do. It is a very interesting slice of life. We have painted pelicans where I live, I'm not sure what they are meant to promote.

This is an interesting shot to me, particularly what looks to be a dreamcatcher along with the American flag in what seems to be such a suburban area.

(mtmartini) Very assute! Remember this is the land of the redman = Oklahoma. In fact we are celebrating our centennial this year. Muskogee, was spelled Muscogee which was the combination of the 4 Civilized Tribes.

Thanks all for the kind comments! I've had some fun with this forum. This is the first photo I took with the intent of putting it on this site. I'm learning lots, keep the comments coming.
