This is a few blocks from my house, and I got lucky to shoot it without any people or cars! I was happy with that, as it was mid-day!

Boy you live in a quiet town...where'd everyone go with not even a car in sight? I wonder what it would have looked like if you walked in the middle of the street and took a photo of both sides?

Could be some small Texas town. Nice ghost sign ("Drink Coca Cola"). However, the lack of cars and telephone poles tells me this is somewhere else.

Nicely done. High marks.

However, something to think about, I can't read the white on red sign in the middle of the image, and I think I should be able to.

The sign says, "Taqueria Las Trancas."
Not easily readable without a zoom.

Well, I clicked on this image to rate it and wha la....it's featured! In case you were wondering, I would've given it high marks anyway. Not only is everything perfectly composed and focused but that sky is beautiful too. Great job and congrats.

You are ignoring me, I know, but over 50% featured images in the past 30 submissions? I think something has happened in your approach to photography, as I've discussed elsewhere, which has resulted in a transition from few features to occasional features to frequent features.

My sincere congratulations on your thoughtful and beautiful images.

@agi...if I had taken the photo from the middle of the street to include both sides, I'd have likely gotten struck by a car, and I'd have not of gotten this shot with no sign of human life. I really DID get lucky with this shot having no people or cars. As I walked around taking photos, traffic was moving along, people were going in and out of shops....so I waited and waited. :)

Ana, a fantastic feature. As King says, it does look like a small-town Texas. The Coca-Cola sign is a huge plus and your non-inclusion of the human element, perfectly smalltown on a Sunday afternoon.
